Enjoying Others Hard Work

When I had a house I loved having visitors that enjoyed their time in my home.  It felt like all my hard work to maintain a home was worth it.

It feels a little strange to be on the other side getting all the benefits of someone else’s hard work, especially since I don’t have a home right now.  But I am really enjoying myself with deep gratitude to everyone who already has had me in their home or has invited me.

I had such a lovely day; first I relaxed, did some writing then went to Shawnigan Lake with my sister-in-law, Crystal. The best way to celebrate a hot day is to go for a dip in a lake!

Then after my brother got home from a gruelling day of sanding at work he joined us in a hike.

We went in search of the swing with the view of Shawnigan Lake below and we found it.  We used the AllTrails app and it was easy.  The path is pretty rocky and exposed to the sun but a nice workout with a reward.

I am assuming the swing was put up as part of a proposal, so romantic.  It was so nice to spend time with my brother and his wife and get some good photos❤️

At the top of Mt Baldy there was a 360 degree view of the lake, the gulf islands, Mt. Baker and the mainland.  It was spectacular!!

Thank-you Gerry and Crystal for a lovely visit!  Oh did I say Crystal made prawns in garlic butter, yam fries and Greek salad for dinner.

Pretty rough life I’m leading eh?!
