Mount Erskine viaManzanita Nature Reserve

I walked to Mt Erskine Summit via my friend Michele’s house.  This route took me up Cranberry which is the road I used to live on.  The sites were the same but had changed a bit as houses were built or pastures created. At the farmstand on Cranberry and Toynbee I turned right and followed it to the trail head for the Manzanita Nature Reserve.

Other than the time Michele and I got lost (but that is another story) I had never taken this route to Erskin so everything looked different.  I had to watch for trail markers and put thought into where I was going. Where as the Juniper trail I have taken so many times the trail is second nature.

It seemed appropriate that I took a different route as it emphasized the different place I am in my life.  I am going to the same place but everything is new.

I am always blown away with the sights, the sounds and the smells of nature.  It has this way of making me feel like the richest woman who walks the earth with its abundance of beauty.

When I got to the top I did a book reading to the birds❤️
