Spring Has Sprung and We're Stuck

This is a different year!  Usually when the first buds appear proving there is life within dried dead looking branches I am ready to get moving and this year we are told to stay put!  Moving is something that helps me move through difficult times and we are told to Stay Home.  Spring is usually the time that we start to socialize and end the hibernation but we are told to maintain social distance.  World wide we are all experiencing a time that we only witnessed in movies.

I am usually a person who helps, I am a health care worker and right now I am at home doing nothing.  I know I am doing my part of stopping the virus by staying at home but this world of nothingness feels so alien.  We live in the most amazing location and the guilt wells up as I know there are people putting their lives on the line while I 'enjoy the view'.  I feel extremely fortunate for the amazing privileged of living in Canada while people in third world countries are left helpless with no government support during this crisis.

To ease my conscience I phoned VIHA Home Support Services in Port Alberni and told them if they needed me in a month I will be there to relieve overworked care workers.  This gives me a month to get everything in order here at Argo's Landing so we are ready for guests as soon as people can travel.  We may get control of the curve and my services won't be needed or I will head out.

I now look out my window with gratitude as I know this view won't last forever.  But would it anyhow?  We all know our time here is limited and I don't want to waste any of my time not embracing and loving the  moment.  I am taking steps to ensure that I totally embrace every moment I have here in the waters edge here in Bamfield.

Currently I am not posting anything on my Walking Way Page as I haven't been walking. I take a walk around the property daily, sometimes multiple times and that is the extent of my journey.  For the next month I will do 30 days of gratitude and self care on my Facebook Page if anyone wants to join me.

Sending you all much love during this unique time in history we are now living one moment at a time.
